Bandstrand is a network supporting young people involved in music-making in the York area. All kinds of music are supported - rock bands, singer/songwriters, classical, acapella groups, DJs, folk bands etc...
Bandstrand is involved in organising and promoting gigs, workshops and other events aimed at supporting young people in all aspects of the music business.
We are also interested in hearing from young people who would like to be more involved with promotion, management, publicity, poster design, photography, review writing, sound engineering and lighting.
WHAT'S NEW................
NUMU comes to York. This is a free music social networking site designed for young people. Upload your own music - be part of a national chart - create a blog - give feedback to other young musicians. You can only sign up through your school - check to see if your school has already created a record label - and if not ask your head of music if the school can sign up. Check out the York network!
